Today’s protest: SR Technics in Dublin

SR Technics employees are currently protesting outside Government Buildings against the decision to close the Dublin branch of the operation. 1,135 jobs are being lost with the closure. This is the second protest by employees this week having held a demonstration at the Swiss Embassy in Dublin last Friday the 6th of March.

CPSU lunchtime strikes ahead

The Irish Times reports that approximately 13,000 CPSU members are to stage lunchtime protests next Thursday against the Governments’ introduction of a levy on public sector pensions.
